CSCP 2023 Year in Review: New Data Report

We are proud to share these program milestones CSCP achieved last year:

  • Published a new data report titled, "Hazardous Ingredients in Personal Care Products – Data Reported to the California Safe Cosmetics Program 2009-2002: Including the First Year of Reporting Under the Cosmetic Fragrance and Flavor Ingredient Right to Know Act.” A highlight from the report is shown in the image below and more can be seen on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X.
  • Added over 105 new cosmetics company accounts and received over 10,000 product reports.
  • Released a series of instructional videos for companies on how to comply with California's cosmetics reporting laws.
  • Piloted a campaign to promote awareness of the California Safe Cosmetics Product Database using paid Google Ads and saw a 60 percent increase in database searches. 

Thank you to our partners, CDPH leadership and legal counsel, safe cosmetics advocates, and industry leaders who contributed to these efforts. We look forward to sharing more achievements with you in the coming year.
