This is a notification of a minor update to CSCP's Reportable Ingredients List (RIL). The RIL contains updated chemicals listings from the 23 source authoritative lists cited in the California Safe Cosmetics Act and Cosmetic Fragrance and Flavor Ingredient Right to Know Act of 2020.
For your convenience, you will find a fourth tab labeled "Summary of Updates" in the downloadable spreadsheet that lists all ingredients that were added to or removed from the RIL since the last update. Please note the asterisk added next to each of the newly listed fragrance allergens in the Summary of Updates. The following information applies to the ingredients with the asterisk: A manufacturer of a cosmetic product sold in the state shall report a list of each fragrance allergen included in Annex III of the EU Cosmetics Regulation No. 1223/2009, as required to be reported pursuant to the EU Detergents Regulation No. 21 648/2004. Manufacturers must report listed allergens to the California Department of Public Health no later than the timelines required under the EU law, i.e., 2026 or 2028; however, manufacturers may report at any time prior to the deadlines.
